Cookie policy
Last updated: 11 August 2026
This cookie policy explains how BeckingtonBall uses cookies on beckingtonball.com.
Do we use cookies?
Yes — but only essential cookies needed for the website to work. We do not use advertising cookies, social-media tracking cookies, or analytics/marketing cookies, and we do not use cookies to follow you across other websites.
Essential cookies we use
When you sign in as a table organiser or administrator, we set a secure session cookie so the site can recognise that you are logged in. Without this cookie, account pages (such as your booking dashboard) and admin tools cannot function.
- Purpose: authentication and security (keeping you signed in)
- Type: essential / strictly necessary
- Duration: for the length of your signed-in session (or until the session expires or you sign out)
These cookies are set by our sign-in system (Auth.js / NextAuth) and are typically marked as HTTP-only so they cannot be read by scripts in your browser.
What we do not use
- Google Analytics or similar audience-measurement cookies
- Advertising or retargeting cookies
- Third-party social plugins that set tracking cookies
Do I need to accept cookies?
Because we only use cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the logged-in service you request, UK cookie rules allow these without a separate “accept cookies” banner. If you prefer not to use cookies at all, you can browse public pages without signing in; you will not be able to use organiser or admin account features.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential session cookies will sign you out and prevent login from working correctly.
